the other thing is

Skip the CAI all together and get a Z-tube/Popcharger combo.

Exactly! x2

Don't by any CAI. There's a reason why you see a bunch out there for sale. People are learning that they do nothing (at best). I say "nothing....at best", because in several cases, they have proven to actually lose power. Thay away from the CAIs. I am speaking from personal experience.

I had the AEM, because a local shop pushed it on me. Worst decision I ever made for my car.

I lost low end power with my Injen CAI on my 03 5AT sedan, but it did sound nice. With my new 05 5AT coupe I went with Z-Tube/Popcharger combo from what I learned and read. Much better choice. Not as loud, but still sounds real nice under acceleration and no power loss.

Do a search on intakes and I think you will find out all you need to know from people with experience. A lot of stuff from CAI manufacturers is hype. They look good and sound good, but don't give you the performance you might be thinking it will. I know, I had one. I don't have old dyno sheets, but I only gained about 2HP peak with CAI only. I just installed Z-Tube/Popcharger combo. I have not had it dynoed, but I can feel the difference. Ultimately it is up to you and what you decide you would like to have on your car. You don't have to listen to us. Just have fun with it.

love my stillen and ztube but you could probably do just as well with a ztube and a K&N drop in filter.
