Hood Pins

To all CF hood owners.
Where are you mounting your hood pins? To the radiatot support? Suggestions? Thanks

If you get a top brand hood you can get away without pins.

I have a Vis so I consider it "top brand:. A friend with a S2000 also had one on his car for 2 yrs. I just flew up, took out his hinges and winshield and he was only doing 60. I'd rather not chance it.

hood pins are to secure your cf hood. cf hoods are lighter and the hook is only held on by resin. after time, the resin gets old and weak and could potentially break off. i dont think people want their hoods flying up while driving...it has already happened to a few people on the site.

oOhh i see. i was honestly thinkin of that too but the reason i ask was because i've seen A LOT of hatchback civics have hood pins and it's not even CF. they painted it black and still put on hood pins.
