No relevance? How many threads have you seen from members complaining about the quality of their authentic kit?

I was surprised to see Dan go that route. I'm guessing it was a time issue because of the accident (which really sucks).

yeh thanks guys

russ: yeh i know that replicas usually have crappy quality, but from what i was hearing from the people on here i was expecting a little bit better quality. i went replica cause of the accident and the needing of it quicker but i guess i should have gotten authentic cause it prolly would have taken the same amount of time to get considering i had to wait a month for this one.

w0: im goin to be payin for some of it thats for sure. insurance is goin to cover it all.

klumzyee: which ones fit better i ended up getting the ones what have the badge spots in them, which i am having the body shop fill in.

i should findout later today how much longer until i get my car back. they said two weeks from yesterday and the car goes on the frame machine today and that stuff and the bodykit guy is goin to work on the kit today while the cars on the machine. i cant wait to get it back its been so long. driving my car again is goin to be totally different fromt eh cars i have been driving.

sorry to hear that
and I had the same problem when I bought my Kit
I was told that the fitment was good to go
but it wasn't even close when I sold it to aHero!
rear bumper, KS, isn't that bad but aHero told me that he couldn't even
fit it the side skirts!
My shop is still working on the rear bumper for fitment and prep work.
learned my lesson - NEVER BUY REPLICA AGAIN!!

okay, well here's one for ya....i bought authentic ings sides from bulletproof and an authentic impul rear. even ben from bulletproof told me that ings aren't 100% perfect, and lo and behold, some trimming and prep work had to be done to get it to fit correctly with no gaps. the impul rear isn't the most perfect kit in the world either. plug and play my @$$. there are small 3-4mm gaps right under the tail light. you wouldn't really notice unless you looked very well. on the right hand side, there is about 3mm of quarter panel that is not flush with the bumper. could you fix it, sure. is it better than replica, yeah. but that just goes to show that authentics aren't perfect either.

My KS sides had pretty decent fitment when I put them on to drill the holes, so it hope at least the kit fits well for you. I think some of the blame is on the shippers as well, seems to me anything not marked fragile is thrown around pretty bad.

Hey! Look on the bright side, in the end you'd probably end up paying less then you would have to if you bought an authentic kit! and the end product should look the same.

I have had the worst experience with import trendz and their replica kits. Just to sort of give a clear view of what they did to my car, i used to have a twilight blue G coupe and now i dont have it. They messed my car up that much that i had to get rid of it. They are crooks. Their kits fit like crap and they are shady as hell. A word of advice, stay away from any replica kits made by import trendz!

I have no experience with those sides.. They make alot of things for G35Coupes I only deal with the ones that fit +95% and do my best to quality control it.. (which is hard btw)

To give you another example I had an authentic TS front that had a gap on the hood no matter what we did.. ._.

That's semi-good news Dan. At least you finally got the ball rolling on their side.

Damn, sorry I've been missing guys. The shop was closed for a week and a half for the holidays, and I had a lot of personal drama that I needed to attend to.

Anyhow, I'm very shocked to see all those things wrong with the front. The other Kenstyle fronts I sold had no complaints. The Kenstyle rear that I got from them fit pretty much perfectly. I didn't even have the body shop install it, just paint it. I did the install myself. The bumper did not need any extra work to fit properly. I hope fitment is at least good with yours.
