I like Sour Cream and Onion Chips myself
The damn Infiniti dealership scraped my front bumper (very slight, but it was scarped nontheless). So, they repainted the front bumper and in the process, fix the scrap on put on it when I first got my car (over that concrete parking block), and removed all those rock chips. Funny as it is, it is holding up really well against paint chips vs. the original paint. It matches nearly perfectly too. The dealer had it painted at a paint shop nearby that does more expensive cars (so they say). Not too shabby but I'm only at 15K.

This is really weird. My red G35 coupe didn't have any rock chips until last month when they started to appear right above the grill. Now it is spreading, like measles, right up the hood. This isn't a year's worth of accumulation, they just started appearing, and only on the hood. Could this be a warranty issue? 1 year old, '06, 20K miles.

I just had my car repainted becuase I went off track at an autocross. The body shop I used said the factory clear coat is usually one coat whereas they are applying two coats (yay more clear) and that in some places like on the rear bumper the factory paint is kinda thin. They repainted every part of the car. My car is still being finished up but i saw it yesterday and it looks great. Repaint is a good option and so is 3m clearbra which I am having put back on after the clear sets up fully.
I had a clearbra before so I only had one chip (above the clearbra) which is pretty good considering I drove 100 miles a day for a year on the interstate in iowa which means 80mph constant (no traffic jams) and rock trucks every 100 feet. I was always careful where and how I positioned my car relative to other trucks and things.
