Streak on inside of window

Hi,

When I roll the windows down on my 03 coupe,a greasy streak appears up and down both of them on the inside. The one on the left side is usually worse. Is there a fix for this because I plan on getting my windows tinted soon and am afraid this will be a problem. Also (sorry if this is a stupid question) is the tint installed on the inside or outside? Thanks for the help.

There is a TSB for it but since you're an 03 I think you are out of warranty. Dealership will fix it but you'll have to pay for it

mines an 03 and i didnt even know there was a TSB however its not there since the last time i brought it into the dealer... SWEET

edit: you may have afew months til your warranty is over for that stuff... call the service dept and ask one of the service reps to check on your warranty status... thats how i knew how much i time had left(til august for me) so its been into the dealer more times in the last month than ever.. hahahaha

Those are clips from the inside of the window. Take it to the dealer and they will replace them if you are under warranty. I had mine done not to long ago. If you don't have a warranty it wont cost you anymore than 100.00

I had mine fixed under the TSB. It started again recently and I hadn't noticed it that much since I usually drop my windows with my remote. Whatever is in there tore the bottom part of my tint. If you've got tint, get it fixed asap.

I had no idea this was covered by a TSB. I might have to get it fixed then. I thought every G had this problem and just had to live with it.

Meatshackle, why does having a tint (which I do) make the problem worse? I don't understand your statement above.
