I have a 03.5 G35 Sedan just barely under warranty. It was just brought to my attention that a bunch of the LEDs for the 3rd brake light in my rear spoiler are burned out. I called my local dealership, they say the LEDs are wear items and are not replaceable under the warranty. Is this true or are they snowing me? Thanks

 

Bull. I had mine replaced under warranty.

 

should be warrantied. did you purchase the spoiler after delivery of your car?

No. I purchase the car new with the spoiler as part of the package.

 

then it should be covered.

 

Read the warranty. What does it say?

 

They better cover it.

 

LED's have a limited lifetime, so they are technically "wear items" so it probably depends on the dealership. Try calling a different one and seeing what they say
