Front license plate mount

I just recently purchased my 04 g35...

The front license plate mount is screwed on with the hole in the middle of the bumper exposed...

There is no cover that i have seen most of them with...

What are my options other than to buy a license plate to cover it?

Thanks in advance.

I just got an 04 coupe as well. When I removed the front license plate there was also a hole there. Luckily, the previous owner left the small plate that snaps into the hole in the glove compartment. You may be able to purchase that plate from a dealership.

Welcome to the forum.......
You can buy one from the parts dept. Its called a tow hook cover. If you remove the license plate assembly, you will see a threaded hole inside the bumper area that the tow hook fastens to. Also, you should have a tow hook in your trunk under the floor cover. It should be near the jack.

Good luck

Search or PM a guy named Clokwork, he has all the info you need. I believe he actually designs the product you're looking for.

You can (1) purchase bumper plugs for ~$30 (pre-painted) or (2) make your own for $10

Why would they put the damn tow hook attachment behind the front tag cover?

Wait, wait. Maybe because (unlike my A4) G35's rarely ever need to be towed!

Front tags suck anyway, just throw it out.

I had the same problem. Dealership drilled holes and threw out the tow hook cover. I ended up buying a factory paint spray can and made the bumper plugs myself to fill the holes and then bought the tow hook cover from the dealership unpainted and painted that also myself. Bumper plugs came out awesome but the tow hook cover doesnt match the bumper paint 100%, a little darker.

Front license....Brackets....Bumper Holes?

It's almost worth buying a new car so you don't have to deal with the
stealerships drilling holes in your bumper. I've been lucky on my last three
cars, one was still on the truck and hadn't been delivered yet. My Z just
had the bracket that bolted on, it came off 2 minutes after I got it home.
Good information on the towhole bracket cover, mine's covered with
Gorilla tape....HAHA
