Question audible warning for lights on and key left in ignition not working

I know it was working a few days ago. All of a sudden it's not.

Is there a way to shut it off that I may have inadvertantly done? I would really like it to be working.

Also that button on the back of the drivers seat to make the seat move forward doesn't do anything. Am I missing something or do I need to have it serviced?

Nevermind. I had the windows tinted a couple days ago. The installer removed the grounding screws in the door switches so the windows wouldn't do their little up and down hop when the doors are opened while the film cures. Car doesn't know the doors are open. Duh.

but thanks for all the replys

So your doors open/close okay without the window rubbing or hitting the roof side panel?

Contrary to popular belief the purpose of the window movement is not for clearance, it is to create a tighter seal against wind noise at highway speed. So no.

Well according to the manual, if you disconnect the battery, they warn you not to close the doors as it may hit and cause damage. How much clearance do you have?

you're missing the point. with the grounding screws removed the windows don't do the bump up. It doesn't do the increased seal. Screw right next to the contact switch. Easy enough to test. Take it out and you will see.

When the screw is out, the window is UP! That's why tinters do that, to tint the bottom portion of the glass.

in that case I guess there is enough clearance although I am still not convinced that they are all the way up
