Seibon? Never again.
Is it just me or is customer service now a days totally gone down the ****ter? I mean WTF?
Back in August I purchased a TS Style hood from Seibon, and over the last 3 months little tiny cracks are appearing everywhere on the vents. I emailed them last night regarding a warranty replacement and basically got a flat out no.
Here are the cracks:

I am totally pissed about this, because this IS their fault. The one by the latch may be caused by repeated closing and opening, but still - that should not happen! Especially the ones on the vents, that is a faulty product right there.
This is their response to my email:
Well, I'll never ever by a Seibon product again.

Hi Jordan we have reviewed the images you have sent us. These cracks are cause but vibration of the hood and as of the crack on the front of the hood next to the latch it is caused by excess force while closing the hood. If the hoods are not opened and closed properly they will cause the clear coat of the hood to be damaged. Sorry but unfortunately we are able to process or replace your hood. Sorry.

If that was a direct quote from the email reply, they basically said they can hah! Unfortunately they ARE able to process or replace... But sorry bout your hood bro. I've noticed C/S for most has gone down the *hitter!

Do you drop the hood to close it? It really looks like it. The cracks on the front are obvious because of "use". Either from dropping it or pushing on it too hard with the small part of your palm (small surface area + pressure).
If you do drop it wouldn't the cracks around the vents form then? Over and over again topics have been started about how CF hoods don't do well, either by discoloring or cracks...
If you don't wanna fix it, leave... or paint it black and leave the vents CF or something. Sorry this happened.. but it does happen.

well i have the cracks too...not on the vents but where the hood closes...heres what you do to stop that from happening...the hoods are so light that we have to press down on the to latch them...simply take the latch spring out and viola...it should still open the same..it just wont "pop"..mine seems to work fine now...and if you want to hide the cracks you should be able to re-clear your hood ..try using a bit darker clear...it should hide all the cracks...i dont think seibon puts a thick enough clear on their products...but i have seibon doors/trunk/hood/fenders ..and hood where it latches "was" my only prob!!..ohh and the door clear was kinda faded on pass. door...but i plan on reclearing all CF parts when car goes into paint in about a month

from what i can see in your pics..it doesnt look like the CF itself is cracked...maybe just weak spots in your clear...i could be wrong...but id say the ones around your vents are fiixable...the latch part...its 'iffy'...looks like repeated pressure on 1 point...could be fixable though!
