window tint across windshield?

Getting my windows tinted on my 06 g sedan this weekend and I'm wanting either a strip of black vinyl across the top on the outside of my windshield or a strip of tint across the top on the inside of my windshield. I was wondering which one would look the best? I know some of you have this done.

The tint strip on your windshield s/b on the inside and just dark enough to block any glare. Before jumping on this check with your local laws, some states don't allow any tint on the windshield. I had a CHP try to write me a ticket for the tint strip on one of my cars. He's telling me how deep in can be when I asked him what he was going to measure with? He had nothing to measure with so I ask him, "How he was going to write the ticket without proof it was illegal?" He had no answer and let me go....

The strips don't look good to me. Would be nice if there was a way to fade it into the clear glass.

Tinting the entire windshield would be nice....except I drive down some pretty dark roads at night.

There is a way. 50% tint on top of the 5% strip makes the strip blend in with the rest of the glass. That's what I did and looks money and you can still perfectly see at night with 50%

Ive always thought about doing the windshield but avoided it because its already hard enough seeing out the sides and back with tints i got... Doing the windshield for me would be like driving it blindfolded .... Just my opinion
