Changing interior color

I hate the fact that my car has tan interior. Black looks so much better, but buying all the interior to swap it would be outrageous for a $10,000 car. Would leather and/or vinyl dye work to change the color?
I plan on recovering the door panels and center console, but primarily would dying the seats and dash last? I don't mind taking off the leather and letting it soak for a while if needed. Other parts can be painted/covered. G37 steering wheel is in the works so I will just buy a black one.

I've never tried my hand on dying leather, but I've also never done a lot of mods I've done to this car before. I'd rather do this myself to gain experience than pay someone.

folks have dyed their seats different colors. how long it lasts depends on your surface prep, care during the process, and how rough you treat your interior post-dye.

btw, black interior parts come up for sale once in a while. here are a few to get you started:

For the paint, I suggest SEM products. They are known to produce good and long lasting result for the interior pieces.
