NEW Carbon Fiber Hood ~ PICTURES ~

I just installed the Seibon CF Hood on Friday and wanted some feedback from you all...

My original plans were to paint the hood to match the rest of the car, but now thats its installed, im really liking the contrast of the black-white and the "JDM" look that its created...

So please, tell me your thoughts...(its ok if u dont like it, i dont really care!)

The Pictures (from my camera phone) More can be seen on my CarDomain.com page...

looks like a transformer..... j/k I think if you paint the sides of the hood that follow the headlight lines of the body it would look better or all together paint the hood ip..... I just feel cf stuff looks best unpainted with black cars only...

I didnt weigh it - But the weight difference was noticeable. The OEM hood is very light for a stock hood, but the Carbon Fiber was def lighter by a few pounds. I def got this hood for its looks, but if i end up shaving a few pounds in the process, added bonus!

looks great. personally, i'd have gotten an OEM style, or the single inverted hood. i too would paint match the sides, or paint the whole thing the same color as the car, but show the weaves.

damn, you people are killing me - I've been holding off on getting a CF hood for the longest, and that picture of the custom painted one above looks great... I just don't think my silver wheels would complete the look right now, so I've gotta hold off until I feel like powdercoating my wheels black...

Whenever I do get a CF hood, I'm going with the stock-looking one, adding CF eyelids, powdercoating my wheels black, and painting the roof of my car black to match... but I kinda like the subtle look of my car for now... but when the turbo goes in (along with a new Top Secret front bumper) - it's going to be a different story!

No other thoughts guys? Man, i thought opening this up to you all would have been asking for tons of negative comments...

Overall, i love the look and plan on keeping it this way for a while...then when and if i get bored, ill paint it for a whole new look.

WORD.

I think it would look good if you paint it, but leave the vents unpainted, that way you still get some contrast with the black CF...it makes the CF vents more noticeablet that way....
