gauges install stage 1 (56k warning)

just had the gauges installed (well sort of). was in the show today and the gauges just came in yesterday, so the guys at the shop were pulling an allnighter. going back next friday to redo and actually wire them up. but this is where they will be and what they will look like. oh, i'm also getting the cf interior, so we are trying to match the gauges to go with that.
the pics are too big, so i'll post the links.
again, this is not a final setup, just a rough draft.
bwt, i got the 1 place for the best engine in the grand prix auto show at purdue today.

overall shot of all gauges
boost and tachometer gauge
boost and tachometer close up
overall shot of pressure and temp gauges
right side
left side
i'm going to switch some of them. i'm going to have all the pressure gauges on one side and temp gauges on the other. i also have a defi display that will project different reading. also, the defi control panel with be in the ash tray.

+ 1, going by the interior alone, I'd expect to see a 3 foot wing on the back!

the only gauge i'm wondering about is the extra tach, but i figure its there so that you can record activity with the Defi Link and do a playback with all of the gauges, including the tach.

i take it you also have the HUD? and is that EXT temp gauge a Pyrometer?

good choice in gauges (money, but perfect quality) nice to see someone taking a cautious route when modding.

Post a video of the startup/self check sequence that the guages perform...i've always found that to be a cool feature

look into zeitronix (zeitronix.com) basically most of those readings in one gauge and can be installed for a clean look

bwt, i have an oem wing jerk.

ok, this is my daily driver and i'm planning on upgrading the internals and raising boost. that's what i was thinking.

because mine is an auto tranny, i want the warning light when i need to shift into the next gear, so i'm not looking down at the stock tach. it happened to me a few times at the track - i was missing the shift point badly.

they are not wired yet, i'm going back to the shop next friday for that. as soon as it's done, i'll post the video.

Personally, I would of just got a pillar for the guages and maybe had 3 at the most. But I'm sure you scare a lot of people at the lights when they look over =).
