Splash guards came in today and I'm trying to install them, but I have a question. the instructions say to use a slotted screwdriver to remove the push pin on the underside of the panel. The problem is that a slotted screwdriver won't work here, since the head is completely flat. No screwdriver fits

How do I get this off?

 

There should be a slotted groove on the washer that is underneath the push pin head.
Stick the screwdriver in there.

 

Yeah, I can get that to move around counterclockwise, but it's not undoing the screw. I'm just going in circles.

 

You are suppose to pop it out. Gently.

Push towards the pin gently and lifting it at the same time. This is not like your regular screw in which you need to turn it until it unscrews itself.

Am I prying it off by sticking the flathead underneath?

I didn't realize I'd have to take the wheels off to get the rear splash guards on.

Ok

Outside of removing the wheels, it should be just as easy as the fronts. Drill a couple holes and presto. Done.
