Dropped my car off today and was planning on 50% front and back door/35% rear window. Virginia law is 50% fronts -- 35% rears and back. My car has the wheat interior so the salesman said it would appear lighter and should be OK, so I went 35% all around. Think I'll get pulled just for the tint? How long were you able to run your tint before the law snagged you?

 

10 years. Every car I go darker and darker, right now I have 15% on my G all the way around. If it didnt rain so much at night in FL I would have gone with 5%. Next car will be 5...

I have lived in Florida and Virginia... I have had 5% all around for years and I have never been messed with by a cop.... I am currently in VA and have 5% on my G and have never once been questioned about it....

 

2.5 years with limo tints all around.........got a warning from a cop but thats it...

 

i've had my car for 4.5 months, tinted for 4 months, and i haven't been pulled over (knock on wood). i get some looks from cops but i usually drive with them halfway down which helps. i see a cop and i'll casually bring the fronts all the way down.

 

Just picked up my car.....35% looks SWEET! The owner of the shop said if I have issues to bring it by and he'll replace it w/50% for free. He said all his cars have had 35% with no problem.

 

i've gone 9 months with 5% limo tint and no warnings, no tickets. i've got fast eye/hand coordination. once i see the cop, my fingers are already on the window trigger. its just a habit i gained. plus, we have fast freegin' windows!!!!

 

i've had mine for about 6 months.. 20% back and 25% passenge/driver, and 35% front windshield. looks good. no problems wif cops yet

 

Front windsheild?? Are you serious?? Just a bar across the top right?

 

A year and five months, and then i got pulled over just last wed. I got a speeding ticket, no front plate and tint.

 

Ive gone about 2.5 months with mine. I only have 50% on the fronts tho for jsut that reason. Its noticable and it looks good but its not completely obvious that I have it

 

I have 30% on the sides and 15% on the wayyyy back, never got a ticket, only a warning from a cop as he wrote me a ticket for no front plate.

 

I'm just slightly over the limit. Legal limit is 50/35 in VA and I have 35/20. I had it since last summer.

 

NC law is 35%, Ive had my 20% (or is it 25? cant remember) for 2 years now. I was pulled over and ticketed once, but just called the court clerk and got it dropped easily. willow interior and a sunroof help make it look lighter.

 

Mine is a little below the legal limit 35%. I have 30% all around and havent had any trouble. Been 2 years 6 months. Wow just typing that I cant believe I picked up my G from infiniti on 9/9/03.. that makes it a little over 2 and a half years. Damn and it still looks brand new
