One more thing for this thread - if you get a dash and its a different color, you can paint it prior to installing it using Bulldog vinyl adhesive promotor and then SEM flexible coating paint - the paint, if cured properly, will NEVER come off, and looks like a stock dash.

I used this on a willow dash I painted black, used flat black paint, since the gloss black makes the dash look like hard cheap plastic.

I got my dash for $150, $770+ at the dealer new....plus tax!

Oh, by the way, instead of replacing ur clockspring, you can get the connectors from Gren2k on ebay for about $30:

Hope this helps!

He said you just put the new airbag in, but dont you have to reset the computer and do other things in order for the airbag to function?

You do have to reset the computer...it's right below your arm, in the center console, toward the back. Unplug it and send it to any company for resetting. Google it, there are lots of companies that do this. You also need to replace sensors for any airbags that went off.

i have a 03 drivers bag thats is burned

and i want to switch the cover off off one that was deployed, which i repaired so its not torn,
my question is ,can i just switch the cover ,with the bag unplugged,or will the non deployed bag fall out and i wont be able to get it back in place to put my repaired cover over it,this will be out of the car when i do the cover swap ,if anyone knows i really want to try this

An opportunity to swap out the entire steering wheel!

Anyone know if a QX56 steering wheel would work for someone looking for wood trim? The electronics look identical.

I think I have the same problem you had....
The Vol up button and horn does not work, I have to turn the steering wheel to the right in the right spot and the buttons work.
What do I have to replace?
Inspection is due at the end of the month and need my horn to work again..
