Question 03 Compass Reset

My compass has three dash lines across the display. I've done a search but couldn't find a similiar thread. The manual says to depress and hold the button but that was to establish zones for the magnetic variances. I did try and hold the button down but it just turns the compass off. Anyone know the fix?
Thanks

sounds like a faulty unit or something. i've attached a section straight out of the manual. there's no 'reset' procedure, per se, in the manual... just a correction procedure for compass' pointing in the wrong direction like u had already mentioned above.

Yeah bring it to the dealership. Sounds like a quick fix or at least they can tell you what is required.

my compass doesnt work either. dealer wont fix bc i have afetrmarket radio and its too much hassle to argue.

However, in the service manual there is definately a procedure when you drive in a circle and hit some buttons to recalibrate the system. A quick peak into the FSM, and that migth fix your problem.
