Question Not a fan of the stock seats... Other Options?

So I'm not a huge fan of the stock seats in my G35 (see picture below for which ones I have). My main beef, is the control switch panel on the inside thigh bolster. I'm a big dude, with a large frame (I'm skinny at 250 lbs, but I'm currently 300 and 6'4"), so my leg sits right on those things. Is there a seat that doesn't have them there, but on another location (like the G37 sedan loaner car I drove for a bit had them on the door side of the seat). Are their other car options like Z seats or something? Not sure what bolts right in and what not. Did a quick search for about 15 min and didn't find anything.

off topic about the seats but look into invisicord for that radar detector, you'll never go back. Plugs right into the back of the mirror, very slick

In a word, nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnope. You and I sit about the same. Z seats and 350GT seats (JDM) all are gonna give you the same issue. Your BEST bet is to find some well bolstered aftermarket seats. You are gonna give you your luxury but you can still get some niceties. The other thing is a custom seats...which may get pricey. Just depends.

You might want to eyeball my350z or Zilvia.net for seating options (same specs as Z) or just do a search for aftermarket seats here. Not as popular on the G cuz it's (technically) a luxury coupe. But, you can find some stuff.

The bolsters are really not the issue, it's the controls being in the bolster. My left leg is fine, lol. I really would like to just find an OEM seat that still has heaters and electric controls that are not in the thigh bolster.

Someone on here, back in the day, took the controls off of the seat and mounted them to the center console. I don't remember who or when, but it was done.

I thought about doing that actually. Just not sure how they would look though. I like things to be clean, no hacked up, ha ha.

Just a thought but unless you constantly need to adjust the seating position, why not disconnect the switches, or cover them with something that matches the seat upholstery?

corbeau makes great seats and they offer them in "wide" versions as well just fyi. They make seat rails as well for our specific cars so the seats will literally bolt right in.

I was hoping to keep the factory heated seat and adjustability, lol. Otherwise aftermarket seats would be a no brainer

If that's the only thing wrong with the seats, just relocate the switches to the side.
