Trim above the radio
Trim above the radio
Hi everyone. I've been on here for a little while but haven't posted much because I normally figure issues out on my own but I have an issue that is driving me nuts. I just recently replaced my stock radio and in pulling out my dash kit, I broke the brackets off of that little strip of plastic above the radio. I've been researching left and right all over the internet and the forums but I keep finding conflicting part numbers. The first one I found was 68412-AM801 and that one I can find easily but I'm not sure It's the right part. I looked at the actual part I broke and it says 68411-AL600 and that one is impossible to find. Does anyone know where to find this part?

PM phil@grubbs, he's our coolest, most helpful dealer contact on the forum. He'll take care of you and another thought is to go to a local junkyard/s and see if you can just pull one off a wrecked G. Probably wouldn't cost more than a couple of dollars if you could find one there.
That is a hard one to track down. It looks like there was one on Ebay a few days ago:

68412-AM801 looks to be the trim piece that goes over the glove box. I would check with a dealer. Sometimes Nissan will change their part numbers even though the part is kept essentially the same, there may be an updated number they can give you if you take it in and show them...

Thanks guys. I'll check the local junkyards and PM Phil@Grubbs too. I'm sure the part will turn up somewhere but it's a tricky little bastard to find. On another note I should post pics of my new double din radio. I'm proud of my new toy.
Thanks for the help guys. I ended up calling InfinitipartsUSA and got the correct part #. I also talked to Phil and he was a great guy. Anyways for anyone else having trouble finding this part, the part # is 68411-AC700. BTW it costs like $91 for this stupid little strip of plastic. So lesson learned. Don't break it!
ugh. one of the 4 clips on mine just broke. thanks for the part number btw, definately helped... i was just wondering. one of the employees at my office has an automatic '05 coupe, whereas i have a 6MT '04 coupe. It looks like she only has one strip of trim that goes across the top.
found some images of it online:

do you think that piece would fit in place of the two pieces I have?
I know they changed the dash controls and clock around a bit that year, so maybe not... just wondering.

@ Franknut, I'm pretty sure the pieces aren't interchangeable. You're just gonna have to go ahead and spend that on the single piece over the dash. I think even those two pieces on the 04 dash are different parts and aren't even interchangeable. Hope that helps. Good luck oh and btw if you're doing a radio install, the piece around the clock is easy to break too.

Wow, I am really late to this party. So late, in fact, that the part is no longer available. I was thinking of having it 3D printed but that would cost over $100 just to create a 3D model. I've been Googling but haven't seen anyone who has already created one. If you have created a "stl" file of this part let me know. Specifically for an 04 Coupe (part 68411 AL600.) It looks like the 04 (and most likely the 03) had a single, much thinner plastic bezel about the radio trim kit.

Well heres their number if u wanna give them a call. If u never end up finding it just send me a message. I’ll try to go there myself and get it for you when I have some free time.

There was one available when I posted my last reply. I should have linked to it but again thought you were more interested in 3-D printing it yourself. Just keep trying. It took me a while to find new OEM floormats for my coupe on there, as well as some other hard to find parts.
