No, I'm in the Navy. All the services here fall under the same restrictions when it comes to bringing a car over here though.

If you don't mind, what is your rank at the navy? Is it not rude to be driving nicer cars than your superiors in the navy and whatnot? That respect thing?

not really but they do give you a nasty look, but i could careless i'm only in the navy from 7am to 4pm monday thru friday.

 

I'm an E6 now, but I've had this car since I was an E5. I wish I was in one of those rates that get bonuses. Oh well, it wasn't meant to be

But, yeah. It is nice to be driving a better car than pretty much everyone I work with. Especially in Japan. I have one of the nicest cars on base. In San Diego, when I was an E5, my Chief (E7) always gave me crap. I remember when the dealership had scratched my car. I had the new 07 sedan for about a month. He was really getting upset. Trying to figure out how I got another new car, lol.
