Best D2S Bulbs ??????

Best D2S Bulbs ??????

I got the 06 headlights for my 04 but dont know
what d2s bulbs i should buy. anybody recommend anything?
anybody have pics also?

what is your definition of best, though?

what do you mean by best? For best output, stock phillips bulbs are best 85122, or 85122+ which are already colorshifted slightly. You can even use your stock d2r bulbs after cutting a notch in the base, and scraping off the ceramic shielding on the bulb

I guess ultinons are the way to go
also what size are the city lights for 06?????

194/168 - same as the sidemarkers.

Just be aware that ultinons only put out 2400 lumens compared to the stock 4100k which put out 3200 lumens of light output. That means you are sacrificing 25% of your light just to get purple light, and on top of that the color is harder for your eyes to distinguish.

IvoryGT gets credit for being the first to do it, here's the link, but it basically involves swapping the stock projector lense which has ripples for a clear lense from TSX projectors, and dremelling out some of the projector. jeebus that's complicated! thx for the summary i could never have figured out what the hell the diy was for if not for that summary.
