Re: fog light bulbs?
I just installed some Euro type-r's that look really hot....
I have a blue theme on my car, blue neons, in cabin, and under car all custom mounted really nice.. switches in ashtray... and pia led's all over with clear corners, and i turned off the orange running light in the headlights...
These fogs i got look grey-er than the stock headlights, but from straight on they look some what blue! and the entire light housing reflects blue!!!
It looks hot, i am going to post pics later..
Peace

Re: fog light bulbs?
Heard a lot of good things about Sylvania Silverstar 9003ST from this forum for the fog/hi light bulb. Matches very well with the stock HID (See pics from the link below).
I just bought a pair from Pepboys that's currently on sale for $16.88 each. There's a $5/pair mail-in rebate also. So the total cost is around $28.76, that's pretty cheap with a good quality bulb.

BTW, I'm in Sacramento, CA. Not sure if it's the same price else where. :-)

If I miss out on this deal at Pep Boys(if it's available in Socal), then I will contract one of the vendors I deal with for my '01 camaro SS. He carries Silvania Silverstars and sells them in pairs for a pretty decent price. Maybe I could convince him to be a sponsor here

Re: fog light bulbs?
I bought the PIAA H4 Extreme White bulbs some time ago based on comments and pictures others have posted here and on FA. I haven't installed them yet so I can only share with you what I've read and seen. Based on the posts I've read and pictures seen, the PIAAs may be a mixed-bag. While the PIAAs are definitely a closer match to our HIDs than the Silvestars, which is the main reason I chose the PIAAs, they supposedly aren't as durable. I don't know how much weight to put on the issue of the durability of one bulb versus another. I guess I'll find out when I finally get mine installed.

Re: fog light bulbs?
this biggest deal with durability is there can be no oil or anything on the bulb when you install it, no fingerprints, chemicals, etc.
This will cause most bulbs to loose life, but especially the piaa's

Re: fog light bulbs?
I still haven't opened the package yet, so I'm reading the watts # on the package as I type, it states "12 volts, 60/55 watts".
On http://www.sylvania.com/auto/silverstar.htm does state that 9003 ST is "Max. 65/72" under Watts column.
