Problems after opening headlights

I blackhoused some 06 headlights and I have had problems with hazing on the inside. I thought it might be moisture but the actual plastic on the inside is hazy and has a rough texture. I even replaced the lenses with my 04 lenses and the problem happened again. I was also wondering if anyone knew what the yellow wire on the headlights were for. I just noticed neither of mine were connected to anything but my headlights work fine.

yellow wire is the ground. not necessary for function.

the haze can be a result of poor sealing of the lights or the materials you might have used is burned up and collected inside.

I thought that an improper seal would form condensation more than a haze. This is the second time this happened. I have been using silicon to help seal the lights could this be the problem?

bump

come on guys...some help here? Is there anything I can use to fix this, such as alcohol? I want to fix this when I re-open the lights, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna buy a new set.

FYI, do not be a dumbass and take the headlights out and attempt to open like I did. The haze remover goes on the OUTSIDE of the lens.

If there is haze then try using Meguiars PlastX headlight reconditioning product. It worked great on getting some haze off the headlights on my TL. If your haze is on the inside of the lens, then you need to open them again and clean it up.
