Lightbulb 55 watt digital HID already searched

Hi Sorry if this is a repost, but I did a quick search in the lighting forums and came up with nothing about 55 watt HID.

I have a 05 sedan. I feel that our HID's are pretty conservative in terms of brightness. I saw these 55w HID kits on ebay. They claim to have 40% higher output. It also says that it will retain the cutoff line of our headlights(keeps the glare down).

I really want to give these a try since our reflector headlights are designed for HID and the price isn't too bad either. I was just wondering if any fellow G drivers had any experience with them? Thanks.

looks like a cheap kit. if anything, you should look for some 55w ballasts to buy and hook up to your existing bulbs. either that or retrofit projectors

You will need 55w bulbs then also. Not a good idea to mix and match powers.

As far as the original question goes, 55W HID definitely is brighter, but unless anyone has direct experience with that particular kit, I doubt you'll be able to get a real answer as to their quality. If you decide to try it, I'd check on the requirements for the warranty.

a local guy around here has a 55W 6000K kit on his 07 sedan (projectors). They do seem to be brighter and more intense, even with the 6000K temp. I would personally be worried about any additional heat.

Yea I'm worried about the heat and if it will melt my harness. I'm really itching to give these a try, but I'm working on my sound system first then motordyne spacer.

I would be careful with them because we know how the 03-05 coupe reflector housings crack. I don't know of any issues with the 03-06 sedans, but one would think that similar materials were used.
