can you explain how you modded the vanity lights? your first post said they didn't quite fit

 

yeah it doesnt fit coz the vanity that VLEDS sells are a bit long. you need to cut the plastic inside to make it fit. You just need to be patient w/ it.

just be careful w/ the white plastic some the vanity! its a bit fragile

 

how do you remove the Upper storage box bulb? I got the plastic cover off, but i can't pull the bulb...

 

for the coupe i remove the plastic on top of the glove box and then reach for the bulb. If i recall you need to twist it to unlock

If you still cant get it out ill take a pic of mine to show you

 

thanks! i did twist it about 30% CCW, but the bulb still didn't want to come out. i tried grabbing it with tweezers, and that didn't work. will try again tonight.

i was afraid the plastic part of the socket that was twisted to unlock it is going to fall in, along with the bulb. can that happen?

 

figured it out. dropped the glovebox and was able to pull the upper glovebox light socket out from the inside, and replaced the last bulb. thank you for this write-up!

ok iv tried not to bug anyone about this but how in the hell do u get to the parking light bulb inside the headlight housing .....or do i hv to take it in to infiniti ????????????

 

turn your steering wheel all the way to the side opposite the one you're working on (to change left headlight turn the wheel all the way to the right), jack the car up, pull the wheel well lining (carefully!) - the part that's closer to the front of the car, obviously. reach in, you'll be able to feel the back of the parking light housing. turn it 45% CW or CCW (i don't remember which) to unlock it, pull it out, replace the bulb, reverse the process.

no no, you can make do without that. i've done it a few times already, and can do one side in about 10 minutes.
