I need some input on "angel-eye" headlights

Hey I was looking at these headlights on Ebay and I just want to get some input/advice from anyone who knows anything about them. Like if they actually work.. Or if any customization is needed to fit properly. O by the way they are going on an 05 coupe.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/06-Infiniti-G35-Coupe-HALO-Headlights-Demon-Eyes-8K-NR_W0QQitemZ110297382852QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item110297382852&_trkparms=72%3A792%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Thanks for any help.

Im gona take a shot and answer this seeing that no one has responded. The description on the title makes it sound like its with the headlight but again his descrtion further sounds like its only the halo rings since he said "kit". As far as angel eyes go, I would NOT put them on a g35. They have been meant for beamers and I believe they should only go on beamers but if its your cup of tea then go for it.

He says it includes the rings and the ballast so you would have to use their ballasts

As far as "custom modifications" you would need to open up your headlights via baking them

I just bought that exact same kit. Received it last week but didnt have time to install it. It comes with the 4 halo rings and 2 converters. I was hesitating on whether to buy another set of headlights in case I mess mines up. If you read around the forum it doesn't look hard. Only thing Im worried about is that you have to splice it to the parking lights.

Well I helped my help did his halo kit, and there are a few problems with it.(Ours was a 2003 kit) First of all you have to use clearance light hole to route ur halo ring wires out that means u cant really have ur clearance light anymore unless u tape it or modify the bulb housing to be connected to ur halo wires. As the result the headlight unit is no longer fully waterproofed as before. 2ndly the halo ring is resting on one end of the circle only (circle being the round plastic casing of your headlight housing) so they wobble and vibrate as your car drives across bumps etc. Would be nice if they figure out how to stablize it better. 3rdly when you re-bake the headlights for sealing, it softens the epoxy and while u are busily sealing the headlights back with its OEM glue, the ring will tend to harden in ways other than you originally intended it to be (positioning, angle etc.) If you need to re-do it, like we did, it will be a pain in the a$$ as we spent about 2 12-hr days doing it, including removing bumper, headlights, frying up a fuse etc. If you want to do it, set away a lot of time and get heat resistant epoxy up to 300 degrees or something and figure out a way to stablize the halo rings from 2 ends of a circle. Hope this helps

can't speak for the 05 kit, but for the 06s nothing needs to be done other than mounting the halos and tapping into a power source, i opted to use the parking lights...wires and inverters are mounted inside the back of the housing...i tapped directly into the wires from the citylights...had em over a year and no problems with condensation...

Before you bake the headlights, I assume from reading other DIY halo installs that you remove all the bulbs and wires, is that correct? The instructions from my 06' halo kit from aacstyle doesn't say anything about removing wires and bulbs. So I removed the bulbs and wires, but that one red wire from the upper half of the headlight I could not figure out how to take it off. ANy suggestions?

you can leave everything in...alls you're doing is heating up the seal so they can be seperated, if you forgot them in there for an hour that may be different story ...all my bulbs and wires are fine and i didn't remove anything except the turn signal bulbs because i was putting in piaa mirror amber ones

That helps a lot...Appreciate your input..For the 06'...Did u guys have to dremel or drill out a small hole to flush mout the halos? And as for routing the wires out the back, through the parking lights? The instructions say the clearance light...

i drilled a very small hole at the bottoms to feed the wires through, the 06 lights don't have clearance lights but to my understanding they turn on with your parking lights as well, just tap into the wires that run to the clearance bulb it would be the same as the citylights
