Tail lamp fuse keeps blowing

My tail lamp fuse in my 04.5 G35 coupe keeps blowing. Do you guys know how to trouble shoot the issue? I have already unplugged the tail lights, license plate lights, and side markers, fuse keeps blowing. My illumination **** does not work either. I am going to start tracing wires tomorrow does anyone have any tips?

When I first got my G I ran into this issue. I tried EVERYTHING, putting bigger fuses in the slot (everyone will say that's a big no no, and for good reason too), and eventually I stumbled across something about there being a ribbon cable behind the radio faceplate. I'd put a fuse in, and every time I'd hit the smallest bump, it'd blow the fuses. Turns out that ribbon cable wasn't seated all the way and it was shorting out. My guess is that who ever had the car before me had a aftermarket radio in it, and swapped it back out for the OEM one before trading it in. Double check that ribbon.

My issues were

Blowing that single fuse over and over
No interior lighting on the radio and HVAC controls
No running lights (when driving at night your tail lights are always lit up, mine weren't)
No side markers.

After reseating the ribbon cable, all those issues went away and I Haven't had it happen since.

Good luck!

It ended up being the illumination system. Illumination is tied into the same fuse as parking lights. The seat heaters don't work since I did a 5AT to 6MT swap. I guess the switches operate differently. Problem SOLVED!

Same thing happened to me. Seat warmer would blow out the interior fuse if you do a 5AT to 6MT. Just unplug the two buttons and it's all good
