CCFL in clearance strip (56K no)
Well here it is. I finally got the 12" CCFL strip to work in my clearance strip. I had to do a bunch of things to make it work but I think it looks simply amazing!

The light ouput of the new clearance light:
You truly can use it as a clearance light now. The camera lies as usual with any lighting. The color is pure white with no hint of blue. It is very neat looking and not obnoxiously bright.
I thought I could finish my headlights this weekend but it never came true. I was tied up trying to make the projector trim look good. This is what I came up with:
I was not happy with the results so I am scrapping using BMW trim (A nice $80 mistake ) Sorry guys the DIYs have been delayed another week!

CCFL side markers would be a great idea! You can get them as short as 4". I got my CCFL tubes at http://www.svc.com
$5 for a 12" Tube and the inverter.
