LED bulbs for INterior and Exterior

Hey!

I personally like the color blue, so i changed all the bulbs in the interior and some exterior light bulbs to blue. They have LED bulbs for our car! Just go to www.superbrightleds.com! I put them on my car and it looks great. They have a variety of colors! I changed all the interior lights, step light, license and plate light. I am going to change the corner light bulbs once i get the clear corners and the parking light in the headlight assembly(dont' know if it'll look good with white)(we'll see)!

Just wanted to let you guyz know if you guyz want leds!

Laterz

I checked their site, I was interested in the door an reading lights , they specify 2 or 4 leds in each bulb, which ones did you get and how bright are they compared to original 5 and 8 watt intensities????

for the interior lights, do you mean you replaced the orange that shines through all the buttons with blue? if so, i'd like to see some pics because i've been trying to find someone who knew how to do this. so post some of them and lets see what it looks like..

ah the orange lights? Ehh, not yet! I haven't taken that out yet! I am hoping i can change it somehow! I will try to take out the speedometer and see what kind of orange lights is in the cluster.

As to the 2 or 4 leds, i got the four leds because i thought it would be brighter. Its alot brighter than the stock ones i can tell you that. If you want brightness, i would not go for colored ones. GO for white if you want to go bright!!. THe blue ones are decent(better than stock). I'll take some pictures of it on friday or so. I can email you the pics if you would like them.

I thought the cluster was orange and the bulbs were white.

Maybe I'll go with the two led's on the entrance doors and four for the reading lights, in white for both , i just don't like the amber cast of the originals.

Yea. Can you also provide the part number you ordered for the interior front reading, rear reading, and the door light?

Thanks,

Re: LED bulbs for INterior and Exterior

go to www.superbrightleds.com. THen go to LED products! There is only one bulb for all the interior lights and the door light. Go to more info and check it out. The bulb name is called 3022 Festoon bulb. THe longer one will not fit! You can choose from 2 or 4 leds in each bulb. I chose four cause i wanted it to be as bright as possible.

To know what bulb you need, i can provide you with a bulb sheet that someone else on this forum gave me or you can just go to your instructions manual to look up some of the bulb types.

I drive a sedan so i don't know if the coupes have the same bulbs! Be sure to check!! On that site, it says what bulbs are compatible!

Re: LED bulbs for INterior and Exterior

If you are think brighten the reading lights with led bulbs, forget about it, I tried with 4-led bulbs from suprebrightleds.com, they are no way to close to stock bulbs.
I orderd 5 from them, 2 of them do not lit up, the other 3 only emit tiny blue color even I ordered while bulbs. my order is on the way back to them.

30all, I have to agree. I bought 6 of the 4 leds bulb and they SUCKs. Not bright at all. Stock is much brighter and has the warm feeling of luxury. Don't waste your money on them...

WHAT!! they are much brighter than stock! Are you sure you guyz got the right ones? Are you comparing them at night or during the day? At night, they are much brighter!

I have not gotten a LED that does nto work from them. Try using them the other way around. Meaning switch the contact points! It'll work that way! It works fine for me! Sorry you guyz had a bad experience!

Re: LED bulbs for INterior and Exterior

the only LED's that I put on my car are in the clearance strip. They are Piaa's and work very well, illuminating the entire strip pretty evenly. I put Piaa xtreme white dome lights in the map light and some Raybrig lights for the ones under the doors. Also some Piaa xtreme whites in teh fogs. All in all, I'm very happy. The interior by far looks the best.

Re: LED bulbs for INterior and Exterior

I tried 4 of the 6 and they are pretty much the same brightness. LED only works one direction and it's either on or off. And yes, all 4 lit up.. Oh well for me since I dropped my original bulb in between the console and the seat so my front dome lights are now LEDs
