I have been look at the diagrams and manual and I am trying to identify on both years exactly what wire does what then it will be a croos exam to see what needs to be spliced to what. But as accordfreak says these are very complex. i was also trying to see if the cars wiring harness for 03 to 05 are a different part number. I know that the connections are different but if those connections go to the computer maybe there is a new plug form 05 from comp to cluster I am still researching this theory

CruisnGcoupe and/or AccordFreak,

Can either of you scan in the full diagrams for the 2003 and 2005 and post or e-mail them to me (pikapp221@yahoo.com).

I want to start looking at this stuff too.

I have a feeling it's going to be greek though, but I want to atleast see what ya'll are seeing.

**Please label the schematics clearly. Naming the file or typing above the image you might post here "2003" and "2005" respectfully, so we can keep things straight...

There is always the option of getting a dealer to help, but that would either be a dead end, or an expensive solution...

Let me see what we are all looking at and I'll studying them this weekend...

Thanks,
-WoW

Question

Well, I took my first "stab" at the diagram(s) this morning.

See attachment to see what you guys all think.

What is confusing me the most is that the wires coming from inside what would be a gapping hole inside the cluster housing (when I take the old cluster out and un-hook it) should have much much more wires going to it's "CLIP" than what this shows.

I see that it shows "Battery", "Ignition" [on, start, off etc...] but there's much more than that right?

I'm confused...

I *THOUGHT*, I was going to see a "wire for wire" diagram"?

As CrusinGcoupe said, there are like 40+ wires...so why is it only showing (3) or so?

Set me straight fellas,

Thanks,
-WoW

17. fuel guage (w/b)
19.vehicle speed sensor (w/g)
23. washer
25. slip
27. CAN L
28. CAN H
34. VDC off
37. charge
40. Acc power (LG)
41. On power (g/y)
42. on power (g/y)
43. Power (r/w)
45. ground (b)
47. ground (b)

Exclamation

**UPDATE**

The part has arrived!!!

Getting excited!

Long story short, the part was sent to a buddy of mine. He 'sniped' the bid for me so I was quarnteed to get it. He's way more into e-bay than I.

He told me yesterday that the cluster did indeed arrive and looked fine to him, but then again he is NOT a car fan. So hopefully it's in perfect shape!!

**SECOND UPDATE** More like a question than an update, but it's important to get this ball moving. I need a DETAILED DIY to getting the cluster out, without tearing my car up. I'm EXTREMELY picky about this car and freak out if I scratch it getting in and out of the car, lol, so I need a good step-by-step guide to getting the old cluster out and the new IN!!!!

Anyone know of a DIY Guide for something like this.

Please don't tell me I'll be the first. Oh no!!!

Fantastic, great job!
Is that ALL the connections to the 03 or just the ones you have identified so far...

I think the first connection we need to try is ILLUMINATION. That will at least give us some positive feedback on the new cluster and we can SLOWLY move forward from there. Plus...I just have to see those Halos! LMAO.

Can you e-mail me these diagrams so I can see what you are seeing. The 03 and 05 that you have please??

One baby step at a time. We'll get this soon!

yo WoW,

I don't know how detailed you want the DIY but accordfreak wrote one and it's in the DIY section of the forums. Here, I'll link you:

DIY: Gauge Cluster Removal

I hope this helps your mission and I'm very excited for you as well =) Keep up the good work mang.

PM sent buddy,

Hey bud, can you use periods in your posts. I get confused easily. LOL

BTW, what is a "MULIPLEX"?? Not sure what you are trying to say here. Please re-word your statement/question, so I know where you are coming from.

In the meantime, when you sent the diagrams, I can look and see what you are seeing and maybe get a PM session going to catch up to where you are on this...

Thanks for the MASSIVE help by the way. AccordFreak, you too, since your DIY for the Cluster removal is really important! Hey, it's the FIRST step. LMAO

Thanks again everyone, post soon.

**UPATE**

Well, not much of an update, but just want to keep everyone in the loop.

I have not recieved the cluster from my buddy yet. I need to go over there sometime tomorrow! When I get it, I'll post some pic's of the front and back and see if I can get more out of the electric schematics that Crusin sent me...going to be rough though, unless we can find an EE. lol
