Let me start with this, I have owned my car since December 29th 2011, and drove it for 3 days while I was on HBL (Holiday Block Leave) from AIT (Advanced Individual Training) at Ft Gordon. Im a Satellite communication operator. Sucked because I went through so much just to get the car. I always loved G35 coupes ever since they came out. But I realy wanted a G37 coupe. I saw one at a dealership where a freind worked. But there was a red 2006 G35 there, I asked could I test drive it, I fell in love with it and said I have to have one. I had a 2003 Subaru Baja at the time, during HBL I ended up blowing up the rear end. Literally a bolt flew out the rear cover. So I called my friend back to see if that Red 06 coupe was there. It was sold the day I looked at it.............

I found a g37 coupe on Car.com and went to look at it, I liked it but I happened to see a G35 coupe sitting accross the street. Long story short. I ended up getting it. (its a long story about how I got it and what I went through but this is a build thread, I talked too much already)

The night I bought it, I was so happy and I thought I was dreaming as this was my first car purchase where I had a car a car payment.

285s on stock wheels? Or is that another upgrade perhaps forgotten? Does the full kit as supplied to you include fuel mods / tune option etc? You should really get this moved into the FI section... probably get a bit more help over there should you find you need it. I think a lot of people will be interested to see the results of an APS kit.

The APS kit is this one https://g35driver.com/forums/engine-...15k-miles.html

Thats one of my homeboys who lives about 40 mins away from my parents house. Hes also installing it for me. As for tunning I just bought at Osiris tuner and Im having it tuned via that.

Yes 285s are going on the stock 8.5" tire, before people try to say thats dumb and unsafe let me tell you this. I ran a 275 on a 8" rim for years, my dad also runs a 275 DR and ran a 10.5" slick on 8" rim on his 84 mustang which does 1.26 60fts and has gone 140mph in the 1/4. I see it no worse then running 235's on a 12" rim.

IIRC Cam is using a Walbaro 255 pump. Im not going crazy with power my goal is only 375rwhp.

Those tires are going to bulge like crazy. Have fun trying to take a turn at a decent speed, hopefully the tire stays on the wheel...
Oversizing like that with slicks/DR's isn't as bad because they have soft sidewalls and your only going in a straight line.

Full boost at 2k? Wow- ive got pretty small turbos and I don't get to full boost until about 3600...

And marshmallow tires on stock wheels? This ought to be good. Part of the concern is safety- which you don't seem too fussed about. The other issue is that it will look ridiculous- but then you don't seem too fussed about that either so I guess we'll just leave that there.

And your buddy who owned this kit is going to slap it in there for ya? Lucky guy! good thing he lives 40 minutes from your parents place... How far does he live from your place?

Not going to lie- my first impression about this project (knowing a thing or two about not knowing a thing or two about FI) is that you're going to learn a TON about FI and its challenges really quick.

He lives about 5,584 miles away from me according to Google maps. Which is a 157 hours away taking a car after you sail the pacific 2,756 miles to WA.
