You installing them yourself or getting it done?
I have a solid mechanic friend that doesn't charge too much at all so I'd rather just pay and have it done right. Never done anything suspension wise before.

I wouldn't recommend mixing springs like that. They are 2 completely different animals and with the different spring rates could cause a dangerous driving scenario. Looks, I get it but think of performance and safety first! A lot of younger modders don't take these 2 aspects of mods into account at all, the only thing they focus on is how everything looks and that's a uneducated view of how to mod.

Good advice my man. I probably wouldn't consider myself a younger modder (I'm 28), just a little bit of an inexperienced modder as far as performance related things. I'm definitely not trying to "rice up" the vehicle. I have modded cars before, but it's just been aesthetics and stereos. (I've owned all stock tl's prior to this car).

Now that I'm getting into a bit of suspension and different things I'm looking for all the advice I can get.

Based on doing a bunch of reading on this forum and from other resources I've decided to go with the 350z s-techs, and I likely won't be disappointed based on what everybody says about them. Again, any advice is good advice and I appreciate it.

Here is 5 days after the install of the S-Techs and how it sits today. I really did not notice that it shifted much lower after install. It drives and feels pretty much the same as stock. (Although I have only had it for 2 weeks lmao)

I think you will be happy with them.

I absolutely know the feeling lol. I have the standard speakers in my car... -___- I wanna get some new ones at some point. Once I get dropped and get the headlight bezels painted I'll be happy with the exterior. I hope I can stay away from making performance upgrades..... After I get my CAI installed.

At 145000 miles I don't really see what the point is to do that anyway. Just going to take care of the motor and see how long it lasts me. But I got the car for a steal of a deal and I don't have any car payments which I'm thankful for. Cause car payments are whack.

I'm planning on keeping the car for a long time. Even if the motor goes bad at some point I want to replace it if it ever comes to that point. But hopefully that doesn't happen. People on the forum have had their G's run to 250K. So hopefully I'm one of those guys lol. Planning on driving it till the wheels fall off. Or at least owning it till the wheels fall off lol. I have other cars too.

Thank you, thank you

The Z springs should give you an extra bit of drop more than the G springs too.
My drop looks a lot more dramatic because the overall tire size is a tad larger than OEM, closing that fender gap while still maintaining ground clearance.

I could do with some spacing out on the front but it isn't all that necessary. I'll test and see if it'll rub the fender. The back however was spot on with the offset.

I wouldn't recommend mixing them up like that either. Just saying h front and s back would be better than s front and h back - if he were to mix.

Getting them installed some time within the next two weeks.

Got the CAI installed as well from Z1 motorsports. https://www.z1motorsports.com/air-in...it-p-4252.html Didn't realize it doesn't come with a Z-tube... So I ordered one and I'll make a comparison video after the z-tube as well.

As for now, you can notice a distinct difference in sound. Especially a whistle on startup and on rev, and just a generally meaner more distinct exhaust node.

Haven't driven the car much yet, so haven't got a chance to notice a difference in HP but you can tell the car sucks air sooo much better. It didn't help that the stock air intake was filthy and was bogging the engine down.

Current Mods: [in no particular order]
Metra 95-7605 Dash Kit (Brushed aluminum finish)
Pioneer DVD Touchscreen with Bluetooth Connectivity
Infinity Basslink (10" Powered Sub)
10% Tint
Brand new Laser Red Paint Job
Tinted Taillights
Matte Black Painted Grill
05' Q45 18" Wheels
30/35mm Wheel Spacers
Stillen High Flow Intake Kit

Future Mods:
Bake the headlights and paint the headlight bezels matte black
Exterior Headlight Restoration (it needs it)
Install Tein 350z S-Tech Lowering Springs
and I hope that's it.

haha I feel you, and ehh, not really. I just have the headlight project and I'm gonna let my mechanic install the springs. Can't wait to be lowered though and see the finished product with the headlights.

Took some pictures with my nice camera today and installed the z-tube.
