Please tell us they just used the outside to cut a base template and didn't install the tint on the outside of the window.

Looks great! I recently got 45% all around on mine. (rear window and all for doors for ~$200)

Does the ceramic look much different from other stuff? I have SunTek Carbon Series film. Its high quality tint, but i dont think its ceramic. They guy that did mine used a wide format printer (poster printer type thing) with a blade in it, to cut out the exact shape of each window. (his computer had files for most models of cars). That is nice because I have no gap on the top of each window. he actually used a file to shave the top edges to get it perfect.

I got ceramic because it has the best heat rejection and so my cell phone doesn't have any problems working in the car and for a radar detector.

Thats very normal. They put it on the outside to heat various areas to shrink parts and get the curve correct. The tint is flat and needs to fit curved windows.

On the coupes, where you don't have the full frame around the windows, I understand they don't.

I havent really researched tint brands (other than what is available around here). If I ever need to re-tint I will look into that.

i don't think i would want the little watermark in my tint though.

I paid like $42k all said and done. Custom ordered (didnt want it on the lot for 5 minutes, swirls) and I got about every option available, plus the overpriced upgrade chrome wheels. *shrug* oh well, I love it.
