I knew it was going to happen 2 coats is just not enough . Atleast 3-4 to have any chance of it working.

We are going to have to have a setup comparing thread once we both have our wheels done.

I got motivated today. Only bad part is the lip on the wheel is curved.... thus making a PITA job on a flat surface almost impossible . Should finish all 4 wheels by next weekend.

mirror lip*** The lip is simply the matte wheel ( hot rod black paint same as car ) sanded done very fine to 2000 so no orange peel remains and it is super flat. Then polished out to create a mirror like gloss. Piano black is the term

nice work! what color center caps? Black as well or black w/ red mt fuji?

the center caps are also matte black. The mt fuji shaved. It's just a flat black center cap
