Half way there...
Its been 5 months since I pulled my motor and the car isn't finished yet. A lot of stuff has taken way longer than it needed to, delayed shipping, missing parts, wrong parts... you name it, its happened, but this is my first build so I am being very patient. I work 50-60 hour weeks which is also slowing me down. But here is what I have gotten built so far.
Here is a few shots from the journey.

Lots of carbon build up

The new assembly

Copper sprayed HKS head gaskets

Cleaning old gasket off the rear timing case

Oops, two drivers side fuel rails, new one coming tomorrow

My motivation

I tried uploading more pictures but Apple computers suck and its just taking forever.

Insane.. Very nice. Are you planning to get anything painted/polished while you have the engine apart? Approx how much is this build burning your pockets, if you dont mind me asking? Once again, sick!

Thanks guys....
I expect to have the car done sometime in June, but honestly every other screw is a problem. I got the new fuel rail today, but then an oil outlet for a turbo is messed up so here is another delay. What I expect and what happens don't always agree haha.
Nothing on my car is really for show except the window tint and front spoiler. I am more of a performance freak, so thats where my attention goes. I did however clean the engine bay if that counts haha
The hole in my pocket was huge, the exact amount I will never know....actually maybe at the end of the year I will figure it out. As far as mods I can think of, here is the list:
GTM Stage 0 Short Block: $3400
GTM Twin Turbo Kit w/GT.30s $5600
GTM Return Fuel System $960
Exedy Stage 2 Clutch $2200
HKS FCON Fuel Management $2400
HKS Head Gaskets $250
ARP head bolts $200
Heads cleaned, valve retainers and springs $700
Motor Rebuild parts, timing, water pump, oil pump, thermostat, gaskets and all that stuff $1500
Larger Oil Cooler $200
Mishimoto Aluminum Radiator $340
Mishimoto Fans: $150
Greddy Catch Can $80
Deatchworks 850cc Injectors.
Update: To be added, 8/8/09
CJM Twin Fuel Pump
Cosworth Intake Manifold
HKS CAMP2
I think thats it, I will add to the list if I forgot anything
I want a max of 500 reliable hp out of the car. Its not my daily driver anymore, although I will be driving it about 6,000 miles a year if I can.

I am getting a little more than halfway there, but I thought I would give an update. It wasn't to hard installing the engine harness and that all went nice and smoothly. Right now I just want to get the car running right and get all these snags figured out. A lot of fitment issues with the turbo piping, I assume since its a 350z kit nothing will fit flawless. Here is what I have setup so far.
Driver Side Turbo piping going over sway bar...touching

Driver Side Turbo outlet pipe..

Drivers side intake, squished in

Instead of drilling a hole near the headlight I am running the piping straight down

Passenger intake and outlet

Plumbing and Fitment

Front end

Will get the rest of my parts over the next week or two and everything should go in this month...
