Update on the e-fan mod:
Just got done wiring the control board.
Hooked it up to my 12V bench supply and tested everything with a voltmeter.
All is well!

Now, all I have to do is roughly calibrate the thermostat switch by mixing boiling and cool water until I get it to click at the right temperature.
I'll then install the control board in the car, but leave the clutch fan in place and temporarily wire a light in the cabin so I can monitor when the fan would be engaging and disengaging.
After fine tuning the thermo-switch, I'll swap the clutch fan for the electric fan

I got the proper HID kits in from DDR the other day, and swapped them into the projectors and powered them up off of my 12v bench power supply.
Worked nicely, but I noticed the projector with the OEM lens actually had a better cutoff and light dispersion than the one that I swapped for a clear lens. So I'll be swapping back to the OEM ones.
I'm guessing it's because the clear lenses I had were from a car with halogen projectors, not HID.
I also test-fitted the H1 3000k in a extra G35 headlight I have in my room.
Even though it's a halogen light, it doesn't glare when you put the HID in it.
I was surprised that the light dispersion looked pretty even.
That being said, I may end up doing something different with the top lights

Im new to this modding thing as well as new to the owning of a G35..How did you go about painting the grill, rims, side mirrors?
Anyway... E-Fan update:
I just mounted the controller board and put the temperature-switch probe in. Also swapped the thermostat to the newer 170deg one.
Next step will be doing a little wiring, and then once I verify everything is working as expected, on to the actual fan swap

Basically, the Grill is all about prep work (sand with 400grit, wipe thoroughly with alcohol) and priming (DupliColor self-etching primer, sand with 800 grit)
I also did a matte clear coat on top of the black. The grill has held up really well.
