I passed on the PX4 (topic in other thread) - so close to getting it, but the safety/docker on that thing just sux! Deal breaker for me... getting the 24/7 soon though.
Also a great choice!

Haven't shot the Taurus yet, how do you like it?

none of the ranges around here have it to rent, so I havent shot it yet... but when it first came out I read all about it and wanted it then and there - CA is a mess for gun manufacturers to get new product on DOJ approved list, and I heard Taurus wasnt gonna bother... I lost track of it until recently when I started noticing them (scarcely) at some dealers around.

It was NRA gun of the year (when it came out), for whatever thats worth. But I love the ergonomics and the quality of the feel (especially for such an inexpensive pistol)...

Cool. I look forward to your review when you've put a few rounds through it! If you don't mind, can you start a thread in the firearms & hunting section after you take the S&W and/or the 24/7 to the range?

I rented the M&P then started DROS the very next day - shot mine twice (so I've put about 500 rounds between the two)... LOVE the damn thing! There really isnt anything I dont like.

I'm fan of condition 1 so I always like thumb safety - on this pistol thats the only thing that feels a little cheap/weak... Oh, just thought on one thing I dont like - mag release lock (CA requirement I think), hopefully I'll never be in a position where the mag comes out and I need to fire.

It's super well balanced (with a loaded mag) 10 rounds (in a 45) and the grip isnt overly bulky... full size, at distance is pretty accurate. The 40 feels a bit better in my hand (the 45 even with small back-strap isnt as fitting, but still feels nice). Has three back strap sizes (becoming very common these days as you probably know).

The front sight is useless in dark environment (wore after first 100-200 rounds) but I think I'm going to replace anyway.

I actually like the M&P better than my USP the HK is 40 which is why I got the M&P in 45 (wish I had done it the other way around - but didnt know I'd want the M&P when I bought the USP)

Now that I've written this, I think I did post a brief review in the firearms section

got any long guns you wanna sell?

That is a sweet review (and I gotta go back to the other section and make sure I didn't miss your previous posts lol). I had something but it's already been vouched for, so right now I'm plenty satisfied with my long-range equipment and won't be selling anything else

One of my latest acquisitions, and something I've been wearing for most of the last ~2-3 weeks. Lum-Tec M18
