OK I just received the rest of what I need to finish the retrofit. Just need to paint and reassemble.

I was able to get the fx-r projectors for the bottom and the HID kit all for about $200. Saved myself about $100. I am stoked. A little searching can go a long ways.

As a side note, I plugged the new D2S bulb in my current OEM D2R plug and it fits. My question is will it light up??

Yes. I was able to kinda mount them yesterday. I will finish the mounting today and need to adjust the top a little bit. The projector is sitting a little to low. Im gonna move it up about a half inch and then they will be sent to paint. Im pretty sure Im going to paint the housing black and paint the shrouds white. I really dont want the halo ring to be all that noticable. And I think the white shrouds will make it pop!

your welcome, the D2 refers to the bulb base the other number refers the application, d2r has a little metal paint/sheild on them making a cutoff for reflector applications d2s doesnt have one and d2c has a smaller one

Nice. I will. I will mock them mounted and take pics. Depending on where you live you might want to search to see if they have a store called "Tap Plastics" its a chain. Thats where I got the pieces of scrap acrylic for mine. They have a bunch of stuff. On a side note I also bought some 303 to spray my interior with. I was looking for this stuff forever and as it turns out I stumbled upon it there. Who would have thought!!
