Depends how paranoid you are I suppose. There is another solution that I liked better than Lo Jack but I can't remember what it's called. It basically is a GPS tracker but you pay for going to the website to access info on your car location, etc. The company received good reviews on this site too.

 

I had Lojack in my previous car. Come to think about it, I would not spend the money on it again. If someone steals the car, yes you will retreive it, but most likely it will already be stripped by the time the cops find it.

 

Umm can someone drop a little knowledge on me, but if your car has navi doesnt it have like a gps tracker therefore equating to the likes of a lojack system?

No, completely different. Your factory NAV has no way of transmitting it's location back to anyone that wants to know it - it just takes signals from orbiting satellites, does some math and plots your location on a screen in your car.

i wouldnt be too worried about someone stealing your car. most of the car washes that ive gone to, the guys cant even start my car with the push button ignition (they always ignore the orange indicator that says PUSH THE FUC*ING BRAKE IN DUMBA$$). someone knowledgeable enough to steal a car that requires a remote signal for ignition will definitely have that thing stripped by the time cops get to it. i personally wouldnt spend my money on lowjack for this car, however you do get an insurance reduction for it.

 

I have Allstate in WA state. Unfortunately, no insurance reduction here for these devices.

wait!! lojack cost $1000??? i have it in my car and i didnt even want it but only car they could find already had lojack so i had to pay $200 for it. i even ask them to to take it out since i didnt want to pay for something i dont need. so, they give me $200 more on my trade in value, in the end i didnt pay for that system.

 

The only reason I got the lowjack was because they lowered the interest rate on the loan. so basically i pay more on interest or I get lowjack (500 dollars). which was the same, so why not
