Thumbs up From BMW to Infiniti

Hello, my name is Mike Luis and I was a BMW enthusiast and drove an E90 jet black 325i, as much as I enjoyed driving the 325i, it was unpractical for winter conditions in Rhode Island being RWD. I've always showed interest in Infinitis especially the g35. So I recently began to go on a search for infinitis and I think I just jumped on a pretty good deal me and the local infiniti dealer were able to agree on my 06 bmw 325i (no extra options) with 60,000 miles for a silver on black g35x loaded with premium package and navigation and 38,000 miles. I'm giving them my car plus 4,500 seems like a deal in my advantage. Can't wait for Tuesday to pick it up and to now get to browse the g35driver forums and get to know some member and learn more about the g35 and hopefully add some light mods.

Did you have all season/snow tires or were you running on the stock run flats? I can attest that the bimmer is horrendous with those run flat tires. However with a good set of all seasons like the conti dws the car does quite well in light snow.
Enjoy the G.

I believe the x model is only awd, but if you're asking if I'm getting an AWD g35 then yes I am, it's a g35x.

nice downgrade

seems like this all could have been avoided with some snow tires

I wouldn't call it a downgrade at all? this car has 20,000 less miles, all wheel drive, much more horsepower and torque, way more options, my 325i was a base model with no options at all and i'm sorry I don't care if I have blizzaks with chains on them, new england winters are brutal, rather not take my chances. I would say this is far from a downgrade.

Oh wow, must've been a really old thread, but no I didn't, I got the car for my sixteenth birthday and I was going to throw some vmr v710 rims on there exhaust and some light mods nothing to much, but I decided to take the money I saved up from working instead and get a g35x, wish I just got one from the start, but i'm really in no position to complain at all.

lol e90 to v35 is a downgrade

going from 18/27 to 16/22 mpg

worse interior

you say more power and torque, but its awd, both cars run high 14s-low 15s. BMW underrates their cars power numbers.

I have blizzack LM-25s on my rwd G in upstate NY which is probably worse then NE and its not that big a deal. if you got proper WS60s in a proper size it would be fine. besides the dangerous part of winter is getting your car to stop, not go, AWD doesnt help you stop at all
