Just bought an 06 G35x, and a lot of older tech I'm not used to.

I just picked up an 06 G35x today, and was able to get it for $3k, after throwing in a detail for his 99 911 he's also trying to sell. 137k miles and has the high idle after he had the throttle body cleaned, and I need to replace a wheel speed sensor, but he had the new part already and I just need to put it in. Tires are pretty worn and I'm looking to go kind of cheap just to get it riding good. I noticed a nail in a tire and it feels pretty off balance at 70. I've already been doing some searching and it seems I can install 235/50/17. If there's any reason not to, I'd like to hear it. Found 3 in that size that are new for $50 on offer up, and a new 4th one for $84 online. It seems to be an uncommon size, so they are probably having a tough time getting rid of them, which is why the price is probably so low.

I guess my main reason for this post is to find out about the NAV system/screen. I'm guessing it's DVD NAV, which I've never messed with. It just says disc read error or something along those lines. I don't care much for car navigation because they usually aren't anywhere near as good as just using Google maps. But I've seen some videos where there may be a touch screen menu showing on it. It seems like this is how you might connect a phone. I have no idea what options this car has, but do see the phone mic overhead and the controls on the steering wheel. I'd really like to have Bluetooth connectivity for the radio, and searching hasn't helped too much yet. Just people who have problems connecting, not really what needs to be done.

I'm hoping to get everything running nice and looking nice, starting with a complete detail (I have my own detailing side business) and have the conveniences I'm used to. I actually bought it for my girlfriend to drive, who's been driving my 2013 SHO, but I'm looking to knock down my bills and get rid of the car payment. I love the car, but need to get a little more frugal, and the G35x seems to be pretty comparable in performance and still have AWD.
