RARE P0335 problem!
RARE P0335 problem!
So I recently bought a 2003 g35 sedan manual with 200k miles very well kept and very clean (not leaking one drop of oil) about 2 months ago I was driving to work and I shifted the car into neutral getting off the off-ramp and I noticed the car died on me and I lost power steering brakes the car stalled out.
it turned on with a slightly longer crank but drove fine. A couple days later it starts starts to buck and die in parking lots when turning into parking spots(every time)Also the car will die every time I brake somewhat suddenly in neutral (ritually)Ive replaced the crank shaft sensor to no avail.
haven’t really seen anyone with my issue only thing I can think of is a flywheel issue or wiring. First time using a forum so please help me out! I drive the car everyday starts every time!
i would appreciate the insight thank you!

Did you replace it with an OEM Genuine Nissan Parts (not an eBay scammer one that LOOKS like it's in a GNP baggy) or a Hitachi.
If you used any other aftermarket brand (Hitachi was the OEM manufacturer) then it's probably still just a bad CKP sensor.

Fixed!
It was a loose flywheel plate or I’m not sure exactly what it’s called but it was missing several 6mm hex screws they were hand loose the previous owner always went to shops and had recently done the clutch I simply hand tightened the bolt and my car no longer stalls the light even went away itself!!…… still have yet to install the other missing screws lol
Holy crap, that can cause a catastrophic amount of damage if you had lost enough to start swinging the flywheel.
They torque spec for the flywheel main bolts is 65 ft/lbs OIL WET TORQUE, meaning you put motor oil on the threads of the flywheel bolts, then install and torque, no loctite.

I’m also getting similar symptoms with my car stalling out, but only at stop lights on idle. I ran an obd2 and saw the code P0335 appear but I never got a CEL which I find kinda weird. I’m planning on replacing my crankshaft position sensor soon due to the code. I do also feel like I lack some power so hopefully it’s caused by the sensor since I cleaned my MAF, TB, and CAI. I also thought I had a vacuum leak and witness some hissing passenger side engine bay. But when I spray carb cleaner everywhere I could think of, the idle never changes.

The CEL only lights up on the second trip, this is to prevent nuisance CEL on modern cars.
Industry calls that a single trip code, it's commonly referred to as a "hidden code".
Make sure to only use an OEM Genuine Nissan or Hitachi sensor, Hitachi was the OEM manufacturer for this part and these cars are notorious for not working with aftermarket cam/crank sensors.
