Got Busted

Yea so i was driving down a nice long road with no cars in site and gave the car a little push... About 50 yards i noticed 2 cop cars so i slowed down and made a quick left. I saw the cop throw on the lights and he pulled me over. Got 54 in a 30 ...Does anyone have a good lawyer in the New York 5 borough area that can help me out with this ticket?...it's 6 points so i need to get some help...any input would be appreciated, thanks.

Sorry to hear that man. It was nice meeting you tonight by the way. Here is the info for the lawyer I told you about. Whoever dealt with him say he was great. He is a former judge and know exactly how to deal with the system.

I got a 6 pt. ticket too. 85 in a 55 zone. (Southern State). I have yet to go to court. Just keep pushing the court date as far back as you can and the lawyer (so they claim) will be able to reduce it to a 3 point moving violation. When you get 6 points on your license the DMV automatically slaps you with some driver assessment fine that's a few hundred dollars. Good luck.

Maybe he meant for the cost of insurance. I'm getting slammed for an at fault accident from 2002.

Edit: It's an out of state at fault. Does that make it any better/worse?

Only if the State the accident happened in doesn't communicate with the RMV in your State of residence. If your insurance doesn't know what happened in another state....
I've gotten speeding tickets in NY and in NH that have never shown up on my MA insurance policy.

Well the PA DMV sure as hell told the Mass RMV about it when I moved up here. Which is odd because the PA DMV usually doesn't keep a record for more than 3 years. Oh well, yeay 1000$ extra for insurance.

I heard this works as well, if you send the county a check for an ammount less than the ticket...they wont close the ticket out until full payment is recieved, but they still mark it as a payed ticket...soooo they cant asses the points on your license until the ticket is closed.

Heard it from one of the members here at the golf course who sold his company along time ago (he knows his ****) they built cat converters for GM, i think he sold it for $270 million.
