Well it finally happened...

I got a tinted windows ticket. I was out to lunch with co-workers and got nailed. Pretty Funny. Only a 5 min drive. I have been trying to find it online but I am having no luck. How much is this ticket?

Ouch. I have 20% on the Z. I haven't gotten a ticket for it yet, knock on wood.

Ed,

Did he perform the tint test? If not that's your dismissal in court buddy. It worked for me when I got a ticket for tints.

Good luck.

Whats the tint test? I know that you are not allowed to have any tint on the front windows in Jersey.

Oh sorry I m not sure about Jersey laws as well as the front windshield.
I was referring to the side windows and NY state. The cops in NY have a tool to determine the transparency levels of the tint. If it's in violation, they can then give you a ticket. However, without using this device they cannot accurately claim your tints are too dark. Sometimes they forget to use it and if you take that to court you can usually get away with it.

Yeah it sucks but this is the first time in 6 years that I have been pulled over for tints. I guess its because it was Friday the 13th
