yeah but mustang, have you ever been bothered my police? I have never, a police will only bother you if you are doing something stupid, its like a second offense seat belt law but actually in MA now they apparently can pull you over for no seat belts. Even if the tint is a little dark cops wont bother you unless you give them a reason to. Does that mean its the same for every state? Obviously not, it would make sense though.

I've been pulled over solely for tint before here in Alabama, of course it was 10% all around and 25 on the windshield. These tint laws for the most part are seriously screwed up. SUV can practically have anything it wants past the driver side window but my little sedan is limited to 25? WTF?

Then, for the 35% film to read 34% on your glass, your windows would have to be 97% VLT before tint is even applied.

Usually cars are in the 70-80% range from the factory. My '06's windows were 78%

Do not bitch about ONLY being able to have 25%. Dude, we have to have 50% on EVERY window.

Lol, I suppose your right Janik, but have you ever lived in the south at Latitude 30.6941667 in the summer? Doesn't make for a nice return to the car 8 of the 12 months a year even with the 25%. I bet 50% looks nice though.

besides, the point of my post is that sedans/coupes are limited to options whereas SUVs can have ANYTHING they want on the rear windows/glass here. Apparently I was wrong about transmission, the law here is 32% according to the internet.....

I like Calis law where you cna have whatever in the back. makes it fair.

And yes, on hot days its nice. But we get over 80-90 here as well and 50% is very little protection against that.

Quote: I actually just started looking into it a week or two ago so don't know of any good places yet. There is a place in naperville I was going to check out
ever check this place out, or what is the name of the place? My buddy found another location, but they too said they do the damn vinyl over the dots method. there has to be some place that doesn't cheap out and can handle these ceramic dots a good way. Another post said something about a good shop being able to sand down the dots to they are smooth or something, haven't found any shop around here yet though

I have 20% all around and nothing on the windshield. I want to add 50% on the windshield.

I hate the darker in the back look so my opinion is to do the same all around. If you do 35%, do it on all windows except the windshield.

im going to probably do 35 all around. Anything on the windshield is illegal I think.

Why was this moved to the northeast section? Last time I checked, Illinois was in the midwest
