Gimme a shout back with what wax your currently using. I would pick up 3M swirlmark remover for dark cars. Wash the car, clay it with a new bar, apply the 3M swirlmark remover with a random orbit polisher, buff off and you should have a squeeky clean surface to rewax. Depending on what you use for wax would determine your next step. If you are going on the 29 I'll take a look at let ya know. It's easier to make a reco after seeing how bad or not bad it is!

LOL! Oh man, that sucks. There were other black owners admiring your car how flawless the paint was at the meet. I guess they will now say "welcome to the club."

I LOVE ZAINO!!!!! But the initial application is time consuming! I have always received my orders failry quickly, usually about 3 - 4 days depending on what time of day the order was placed.
Depends on the scratches, but I have used 3M swirl mark remover with great results! I got the best results using a palm sized random orbiting polisher from Makita. It was 12 bucks new, but I don't thing they make it anymore! Plug it into your ciggy lighter and off it went! Works great!

DO NOT USE 3M SWIRL MARK MAKER.......er REMOVER!!!

Seriously I dont know if I did something wrong or not...I followed the directions on the bottle and used the stuff on my hood. Needless to say I need to have the hood resprayed now. It created a sh*tload of swirls. it's 10-20 times worse than it was, you can see them in the sun. If my paint wasn't all chipped up and needing to be repainted anyway I would be up 3m's A$$ for putting out such a sh*tty product.

Yeah as unfortunate as it is you might as well get used to it now. Cause the paint goes down hill fast. I personally have learned to not look at the car up close or in any sunlight closer than 5 feet away. I think I've lowered my Blood Pressure by doing it too. You'll get used to it but until them go give everyone in your fam a lesson on Black paint!!

Interesting, two of the 'pros' here with a difference of opinions on the 3M. Good topic of discussion for the 19th. I'd be interested in what u both have to say. Msgs here just won't cut it.

Now u both got this grasshopper (Sam) all messed up for sure. Take the left fork in the road or take the right fork in the road with both of you having different results.

Nick, u may have missed the part in the directions after it said shake well, did you remove cap =)

Sam, both cars are always lookin good. Gforces last comment, live with it is probably the wisest. It's either that or the phunny farm. We'll know when it's time when we see ya start cleaning the inside of your exhuast with q-tips.

The 3M product #39009 "Perfect-It Swirl Mark Remover for Dark Colored Cars" is considered the absolute best product on the market. However, it's only one stage of removing the swirls on your car. You can't just use that product and call it quits. Steps need to be taken before using it, and steps need to be taken after using it.
