it's alittle bit of a ride, but you could check out Manayunk or even Conshohocken... both have some decent bars

in Manayunk, you could check out the Manayunk Brewery (good beer and live music usually), The Bayou, Grape Street (the club, not the actual street), Bourbon Blue, Kildares, and a bunch more... they're all right on Main Street

in Conshohocken, Kokomo's is a good sports bar (i've heard that the Eagles fans there get pretty rowdy)

i don't know how old you are (or if you're married?), but if you're feeling adventurous and want to try to bag a college girl.... head for my old stomping grounds, the Main Line (Tpk > 476 south > Villanova/St. David's exit)... you've got Villanova University (Go Wildcats!) , Rosemont College, Haverford College, and Bryn Mawr College (all girls!) in close proximity there, as well as about a million bars and restaurants (Erin's Pub, Kelly's, Gullifty's, Brownies 23 East, etc etc etc)

like CCns23 said also, Finngan's Wake on Spring Garden St was always a good time when i went there or you could always go into Old City or check out South Street.
