Think all tint shops will make you sign a waiver releasing them from liability if you authorize them to install tint that makes you windows darker than legal limit.
(Calif I beleive is 70% on front side windows, no % limit on rear and rear sides)
That's just common sense on their part so if you get a fix-it ticket for removing illegal % tint, they're not liable.

Last I was there, they had many samples of tint in different %'s. I saw 5% there. Huper Optik only goes down to 30%, but Sidney has other brands of film that go much lower.
He has Suntec HP for example: "We offer this film in 5%, 15%, 20%, 30%, 35% and 50% visible light transmittance."
So I really don't understand your statement about them not offering a dark enough tint for you.

Had mine done there, top notch workmanship.
Bump for a very good tint shop in Fremont.

^^^ It's cool, no worries.

Depends on what brand/type tint you choose.
I went with Huper Optiks (ceramic), wifes car too. Those cost more due to the film itself and much harder to work with in installation,
but Huper only goes down to 30% so those not dark enough for you.
My cost would'nt be accurate in comparision to what you want to do and with a different/darker film you'd choose.

Give Sid a call. His shop has done many G's. He'll quote you over the phone or Email him. He quotes that way too.

Does one brand of tint look better then another? I don't mean percentage wise, but in terms of color and such. I'm not talking about blue vs. black either.

Is there a tint that looks more appealing then the rest?

i got mine at the preferred image too. their tint goes all the way up to the edge of the window, so you can't even see a tint line.
it isn't ceramic or any other fancy tint, but madico is still decent stuff with lifetime warranty. They are much cheaper than the rest too
