I bought my G there and use Frontier for maintenance. They roll out the red carpet for me whenever I show up. I had the test done and they're pretty thorough. Don't ask me for details though. However, I trust them. I didn't have problems w/ my oil, but since I've read in here that people were having problems, I thought I'd have mine checked. My service man is William and he's WONDERFUL! Everybody there is great. This place is quick, thorough and the price is actually pretty good.

I haven't had an oil test yet, but I have gone there for service and have nothing but great things to say about them! Like, G-girl, my service man is William Perry. He's an awesome guy who really went the extra mile for me. He even saved me a grip of money. He made me feel very VIP, which was pretty cool IMO.

I'm glad you guys had good experiences there. Maybe they have changed recently. I and a ton of others have had troublesome experiences there. https://g35driver.com/forums/northern-california/136746-grrr-frontier-infiniti.html Infiniti of oakland is widely regarded to be the best Infiniti dealership in the bay area. They are very mod-friendly as well is nice.

Hey Rob!

Isn't William nice? I just feel like he rolls out the red carpet for me and the prices are really not bad.

Yes, he's awesome! I totally know what you mean. He made me feel the same way, which surprised me considering the car wasn't originally purchased there, and just taking in consideration past experiences I've had dealing with service departments. I was so impressed with Frontier Infiniti. I'm surprised to hear that a lot of others have received poor service in the past.

Okay, grazed thru the postings on the thread above and that's scary. I, for one haven't had any issues w/ Frontier. My ex- sister-in-law was the GM for Infiniti down in L.A. and she talked to the GM @ Frontier to get my G and that's how I was able to save a LOT of $$$ for my fully loaded baby G. That's scary because I "baby" my cars and they seem to be competent. William has always been courteous and cordial w/ me. And the service he'd provided me has always surpassed my expectation and my friend's Lexus dealer's expectation. Well, one blip from Frontier won't send me running to another dealer, but two, HHmmm, that would send me running away from them.

Thanks for the warning. I'll defnitely keep it in the back of my mind.

it's a dice roll. I haven't been treated terrible there, I was just expecting a little more. I recieve better service when I go to the Nissan dealerships around here, but that's just me. You might have gotten the "red carpet" treatment because you have a buddy in the business and maybe they can pull some strings, who knows? I used to be a manager at a dealership and I definately saw friends of the employees get much, much better treatment than the average Joes off the street. Maybe they started reading the forums? Anyways, if you got good service then stick with them.

I totally agree that Frontier Infiniti sucks. I to use Oakland Infiniti and I live in San Jose. All the service advisors at Frontier with maybe the exception of Brad suck. They are not mod friendly and they will always try to blame the mod for the malfunction. I was told that if you change out the speakers in the doors and if any problems happens in that door they will not warranty any problems because the door panel was removed whether or not that caused the problem or not. I have an 06 G coupe it did not have the sport suspension so it came with the older style bumper. I happen to hit a small 2X4 which cracked the bumper so I decided to change to the new 06 bumper which was covered under my insurance. I used the body shop that Frontier Infiniti uses and all parts were ordered through them. The body shop did a fine job and I had the car for about 6 months when I developed a small transmission leak. I took it to Frontier and they found a small leak from a small hose. They told me that the clamp was over tighten which created the leak but because I changed the bumper they would not cover it under warranty. I provided proof that the hose was not touched and not damaged when the bumper was changed, again it was their body shop. After many threats and calls to the service manager, the owner, although the only decent person there is the sales manager who stood up for me. They told me they did me a big favor by covering it under warranty, it just became laughable over 1 small hose although for me it became a matter of principle.

I have 3 friends with Infiniti's and none of them have had good experiences with Frontier, we all go to Oakland and we all live in San Jose.

If you do a search you will see there are alot more complaints than satisfied customers with Frontier. I found out why their coustomer service sucks......when talking to the owner he had the same f***ked attitude and that attitude flows down hill.

Thank you for all of your feedback. I'm going to give it a try since its only a refill of oil. If I have problems then I will go to Infiniti of Oakland.

The car is pretty much stock just lowered on 350 springs and stillen sways. I can't understand why those two minor mods would affect oil consumption.

you'll be fine getting an oil change there, but that's about it.

they gave me SO MUCH GRIEF b/c i was lowered on the same springs with stillen sways. brad acted like i was trying to hide it from him or something by not announcing it before dropping it off for some service. he then indicated there were "consequences" by "writing it up" in my service log.

infiniti of oakland ftmfw. if you guys go there for service, be sure to fill out the customer service cards and any surveys you get to support them. i'm not sure they're doing particularly well on the sales side.

Hey, if u are really looking for great customer service..and mod nice employees..check out Pleasanton (Hendrick) Infiniti...I always go there and feel like a king when I leave. They even carried a few G coupe mods about a year or so ago. Nothing to extreme!
