I'm actually located in Southern Ca. Not sure why this was posted here. But yeah, I know there could be consequences by having the dark tint, but my god, there are so many cars here with super dark tint.

I've had 20% and 35% and 50%. Been pulled over for having all 3. It's really luck of the draw and it also depends on whether or not you have other things that will draw a cops attention (i.e. no front plate, wheels, exhaust, stickers, etc.). I'm all for tint, but getting pulled over for 30+ min and also getting a fix-it is not fun at all. Good thing I have a partner who's a reserve officer

Tint in CA.......!

To be legal you can't tint the drivers/passanger windows.....BUT.... if you're
anything like me I'll do whatever I can get away with. I've got 35% tint in
all my windows. My CHP buddy tells me I won't get nailed if they can see
inside your car......but if you get stopped for speeding they might right you
up for the tint too. It's only a fix it violation and $10 so do whatever you
want....enjoy life!

LMAO . . . You folks are killing me. Points made, but please . . . Let's keep the name calling down a bit. We don't want to end up like the SoCal boards.

Running 40% front sides, 30% rear sides and back.
No problems so far, but bottom line is if you're darker than 70% in fronts...you're illegal no matter what.
We all sign waivers at the tint shop releasing the tint shop any legal liability that makes your fronts darker than 70%. My tint shop did anyway.

Agree...after a random disrespectful name calling statement spouted off at me awhile ago, my conclusion holds the same.
Have had members privately agreed with my conclusion as well, but one thought it was a joke.
Doubt seriously that member would think it was a joke if it had been said to them personally on this forum.
